Last week to see some great Branson Christmas shows, but not all

Finale of "The Spirit of Christmas."

Ozark Mountain Christmas is a special time of the year in Branson. Paul Miller, General Manager of the Branson Tourism Center says, “No other major destination city in America celebrates the true spirit of Christmas like Branson, Missouri.” From Silver Dollar City’s “Ole Time Christmas” to the “Adoration Parade” in historic downtown Branson and the giant Nativity Scene on top of Mount Branson overlooking historic downtown Branson and in many of Branson’s shows, the true Christian spirit of Christmas is celebrated.

Miller points out however, that this week will be the last week to see some of Branson’s great Christmas shows such as “SIX,” “Presleys’ Country Jubilee,” “Dino’s Christmas Extravaganza,” “The Spirit of Christmas,” “Twelve Irish Tenors,” “Hamner and Barber’s “The Wings of Christmas,” “Shoji Tabuchi,” “The Duttons” and many more. He said that the reviews of many of these shows, both on line and from Branson Tourism Center customers, indicate Branson has some great Christmas shows this year.

He reminds potential Branson visitors that Ozark Mountain Christmas itself is one of the busiest times of the year in Branson and that next weekend in particular, with a many shows having their last 2009 performances, will be even more so. He strongly recommends that anyone wanting to see any of these shows, or any of the other shows that will be ending their season this week, make advance reservations to insure availability and avoid the possibility of missing a show that they really want to see.

He suggests that Branson Tourism Center (BTC) one of Branson’s largest and most respected vacation planning services and sellers of Branson show and attraction tickets and lodging be contacted for information or tickets on any these shows or any other Branson shows. BTC can be reached by calling 800-785-1550 or through its website www.BransonTourismCenter.com.

“Although many Branson shows will be closed by the middle of December,” Miller said, “many Branson shows will be open during the Christmas season.” These shows include, but are not limited to a variety of music shows including the “Baldknobbers,” “Pierce Arrow,” “Magnificent Variety,” “50’s at the Hop,” “Legends in Concert,” “Tony Roi’s Elvis Experience,” and “The Haygoods.” Also included are a variety of comedy shows such as “Jim Stafford,” “Comedy Jamboree,” and the White River Comedy Club” and shows like the “Acrobats of China;” “The Miracle of Christmas;” the magic of “Kirby VanBurch” and the “Amazing Pets;” (Opening December 20) and many more.

Miller also stated that two of Branson’s most popular dinner show attractions, Dixie Stampede and the Show Boat Branson Belle will be open during the Christmas season. He points out that not all of the shows mentioned are opened every day, many will be operating on special Christmas schedules and recommends that the Branson Tourism Center (BTC) be contacted for the most current information, availability and to purchase tickets. BTC can be reached by calling 800-785-1550 or through its website www.BransonTourismCenter.com.
